2022 Canada-Korea Conference Presentation
I had the opportunity to present at the 2022 Canada-Korea Conference on Science and Technology in their Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Forum. This Forum focused on UAM structures, system design, and hybrid electric propulsion as UAMs are quoted to be “the most promising future transportation system to solve urban traffic congestion and logistics cost problems” (AKCSE).
With working in UAM design for over a year now in my Master’s degree, I was very lucky to present the work we have done in collaboration with the National Research Council Canada / Conseil national de recherches Canada on lightweight and multifunctional materials, airworthy structures, and crashworthiness. This project has been ongoing for over two years now, and developments have been made along the way, creating the possibility of UAMs in the foreseeable future.
I would like to thank my supervisor, Dr. Il Yong Kim, for providing me with the opportunity to present the research and work I have been doing for the past year with the Structural and Multidisciplinary Systems Design Group to this Forum.
